Is it true that a petiton for nondisclosure will prevent employers from seeing my criminal background?

Cynthia Russell Henley

If you successfully completed deferred, had no intervening cases, and more than 5 years has passed since your release from deferred, the you should definitely hire a lawyer and file a petition for nondisclosure. You are correct in that the case will be hidden from view of the general public. The filing fee is under $300 and you can probably find a lawyer for around $750.

Can I get a motion to suppress evidence if I was not in my right mind during the search?

You do not say why you were delirious or not in a proper state of mind. Was it from your own voluntary action?... ie, drugs or alcohol? If so, then highly unlikely. You also don't sayt what you were charged with, or what they found during the search. I don't know anything more about your case, so I cannot answer with any more certainty

Can someone get probation for a felony?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
Depends on his priors and whether the court allows it. Best chance though is with the best attorney you can afford.
