Debt collection is a relentless practice and if there is a loan default, the creditor rights enable them to collect from the borrower, and may use any of a number of methods to do so. The creditor can place a lien on the borrower's property, obtain a prejudgment attachment, obtain a writ of execution or garnishment, or take a security interest in the borrower's property.
