Marc A. Sposato, Partner at TBWD Law, concentrates his practice on criminal defense and civil litigation. A former judicial law clerk to Hon. Richard T. Sules in Essex County Superior Court (Criminal Part), Marc leverages that clerkship experience to defend clients in serious criminal matters—murder, robbery, aggravated assault, weapons offenses, drug trafficking/possession, and domestic violence—across state and federal courts. He appears in municipal court for DWIs, motor-vehicle summonses, and disorderly persons charges, handles restraining-order matters, and has participated in jury trials and numerous motion hearings. On the civil side, Marc represents plaintiffs in personal-injury claims (automobile, workplace, slip-and-fall) and defends individuals and entities in civil-rights and tort litigation. His honors include 2021 New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Star, recognition among the 10 Best Attorneys Under 40, Top 10 Criminal Law Attorney, and AVVO Top Attorney/Clients’ Choice distinctions. Marc holds a B.S., magna cum laude, from Pace University, a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, and is licensed in NJ, NY, and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
