Services retained for collecting a large amount of unpaid rent from a departed tenants. Was asked to pay upfront (several thousands of dollars retainer). Then nothing happened! For days... weeks....months! In the begining he responded to my email requests for status updates... promising progress was being made and he would file in a few days... Then the days turned into weeks and months. Would no longer respond to emails or phone calls requests for months on end. Over a year passed, and still no filing, still continued promises of filing soon/in a couple of days... or no responses at all. After losing over 13 months, terminated services... and I retained the services of a more competent, more professional, less procrastinating lawyer! (which filed my cased in less than 2 weeks from retainer)
