As a father who was never married to my Child's mother, the odds were already stacked against me when trying to alter our custody arrangement. The Firm, those odds and better secure what was best for my daughter and Ms. Leslie helped me overcome those odds. The staff are very professional, and personable. For seven years my family has kept Ellen on retainer. She has assisted us with adoptions, custody and visitation for my grandchildren, traffic violations, powers of attorney and numerous other family issues. She's like a slightly older sister to me. She tells me the way it is and doesn't sugarcoat it. She will quickly tell me when I'm wrong and when it's time to sit down and listen. She is my attorney, my advisor and my friend.

I went through multiple attorneys over 3 years. All told me I had no choice but to settle in my family court case. It was a very biased closed parish case. Ellen and her staff accepted our case. She was thorough, frugal with our time and money, and ultimately put an end to my torment. I appreciate her and her staff more than I can acknowledge. Thank you guys! This attorney is plain-spoken when needed (i.e., with our 22 year-old son) and gives practical, no-nonsense advice. In the courtroom, it is clear that the judges like and respect her, which certainly is a big plus. Ms. Badeaux is calm and reassuring when needed, but can give a necessary push when that is what is required. She is extremely knowledgeable and has a great deal of experience in St Tammany proceedings and judges. We highly recommend Ms. Badeaux.

I hired Ellen to represent me for a family law case. I was desperate to get in to meet with an attorney ASAP and I was able to get my initial in office consultation with Ellen the very same day that I called. She was honest and forthcoming with her costs from the very first consultation. Compared to other family law attorneys in the area, she is definitely fair with her fees. Worth every penny. Ellen got me everything that I had asked for in my case. Everyone in her office has been more than helpful to me through a difficult and very stressful time. Her knowledge and confidence is what I needed to represent me.

Our daughter died suddenly in August, leaving her 3 year old son in the custody of his father, just released from Angola. We provided lots of monatary and other support, but he just isn't up to being a good father. I had a lawyer who was very iffy about our being able to get custody. We hired Ellen. What a difference! He advice and expertise at the pretrial gave us hope that we will be able to maintain some control over our grandson's future. What a blessing!
