To Lisa Wells Law firm, Kenton County Cincinnatti, Ohio (I had trouble sending this on "Lawfirm.com) I am needing to appeal a plea deal due on the grounds of due process, right to speedy trial, obstruction of justice, and inconsistent counsel. My charge is a Kentucky state felony where a 3 year plea deal was offered after 18 months of imprisonment trying to fight my case where the state appointed, at different times, 3 different defense counsel (the first was preliminary, the second retired from law practice within the same month assigned to my case, and after 6 months or better I was assigned a third who then went, the same month assigned, on paternity leave for 90 days. During this time I had asked the judge, atleast twice, for a motion to a fast and speedy trial that was denied. I was being held on a charge, which eventually was ammended down due to lack of evidence, with a plea deal of 7 years that I refused. I was indicted on a Second degree assault charge with no evidence...
Lisa Wells misused the fees paid to her in 2019 and we have yet to recover a dime from her or from the Kentucky Bar's Client Security Fund. She failed to send a lawyer to cover for our court appearance. The judge nearly issued a bench warrant even though we were present but without representation. Ms.Wells has been able to resume practicing in OH and under supervision in Kentucky. Meanwhile, we are out tens of thousands of dollars in the loss of her services and also having to hire a new firm. I do not recommend Ms. Wells .
