Mr. Pomeroy is a terrible, unethical attorney! Firstly, I was told his fee was $750; he actually charged $1,050! {para}He claims this was because he did a lot of work for me. What he did was call me & tell me things were not going to work out, & I was going to lose out on a lot!!! He creates work, then charges you for it! He also bad mouths other lawyers. Extremely unethical!!! If you need a lawyer who will respond quickly, he could be your guy, but his attitude will make you depressed!
The Cortland Attorneys are the worst lawyers imaginable! Firstly, they quote you $750 for their services. They actually charged $1,050! {para}Secondly, they are extremely negative; they told me on a daily basis that things were not going to go in my favor and I was going to lose a lot!!! Yes- a daily basis conversation from a lawyer, but he only did it so he could charge me more!!! I did not ask for his assistance on a daily basis!!!
Pomeroy performed very poorly on a real estate deal. He was slow to respond, miscomunicated important terms of the contract, failed to keep us in the communication loop, interfered with the role of the listing agent creating confusion, went on vacation and failed to respond to important contract questions. We Will never use this office again. I suggest that you run, don’t walk from this office. They have fallen off their game.
I hired Don to help with estate issues. He asked for a 1K retainer, which I provided, Then asked for another 4K in advance before he represented me in court. When he represented me in court, he was more concerned with my brother's thoughts than mine, At the end, he left our table to speak with my brother. I was left waiting for him to talk with me following the case. I finally left as he continued to ignor me so long. I was tempted to ask for fee reduction. He did not fight for me,
One of the most unethical attorneys i have ever worked with, both personally and professionally. He only sees the $$$ and creates lots of filings just for that purpose. He tries to destroy people on his unethical journey.
This isn't about money, it is about representation and I did not get represented by this firm. My defense attorney said absolutely NOTHING during court, even holding factual documentation proving the other party had lied on several statements to the court. I wouldn't even recommend this firm to get you out of a parking ticket.
Don is disrespectful to women. He “ mansplains” and talks in circles and says nothing of significance. He takes no personal accountability. He has poor negotiation skills. He becomes frustrated very easily and behaves much like a toddler vs professional adult. Don lacks comprehension skills. He seems to have a very inflated and very fragile ego. He lacks competence in area of VA loans and when this became apparent, he did not take accountability . He scheduled closing prematurely when there were 2 significant issues that were still unresolved. His incompetence caused closing to last for hours. Its pathetic but we literally closed on the home today and we did not receive keys NOR a signed post closing occupency agreement from seller!!!! Don attempted to play this off as normal procedure. etc etc etc. On a positive note- his paralegal Jennifer is bright, organized, responsive, and accountable. In summary, Don himself is a typical mysogenic big fish in a small pond good ol boy.
