Thomas C. Watts was assigned to an arbitration matter I was involved in. He was reassigned to a matter against Airbnb's blatantly gross negligence. He was clearly biased based on his website language stating that his mission is to protect corporations. Mr. Watts redirected the claimant to refile her complaint, solely as a tactical maneuver so that he could overturn the previous ruling denying Airbnb of a dispositive motion request. He then haphazardly ruled in their favor, after admitting he barely read the materials and after not reviewing the evidence submitted. The unbelievable negligence and blatant bias to squash a matter before it could be heard was astounding. Additionally and alarmingly Mr Watts viewed Claimant's social media pages, referencing an outside matter of hers in his rulings, that could only have been discovered on her social media pages, illustrating clear prejudice of outside matters. Mr Watts cared more about social media posts than the evidence in the matter.
Thomas Watts is now retired and cares more about his hourly rate than actually reviewing details of legal matters or fairly ruling on them. If you are a corrupt corporation, then Thomas Watts is likely the perfect lawyer for you, but if you are a claimant, he will not care whatsoever about the merits if he cannot himself win financially. Based on a litigation matter with him, I do not recommend his services whatsoever.
I have spent 7 weeks with my son in a hospital, because he tried to harm himself after being wrongfully dismissed from his valid Arbitration claims by Thomas Watts, who is as unethical and self-serving as they come. There is a place in hell for someone like Mr. Watts.
