Cynthia Weichelt is a Certified Family Law Specialist (CFLS*) with extensive experience guiding individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging legal matters. She represents clients in all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, prenuptial agreements, guardianships, restraining orders, and post-judgment modifications. Known for her resolution-focused approach, Cynthia balances strong advocacy with practical strategies designed to minimize conflict and protect her clients’ long-term interests.
In addition to her family law practice, Cynthia has a broad background that includes estate planning, probate guardianships, and criminal defense matters such as expungements and restraining orders. Her diverse legal knowledge allows her to address the complex, overlapping issues that often arise in family law cases. Cynthia has also dedicated time to public service, volunteering with legal aid organizations to assist self-represented and low-income litigants in navigating the court system.
Beyond her legal practice, Cynthia has served her community in leadership roles, including multiple terms as President of the Lake Balboa Neighborhood Council and as a Commissioner on the City of Los Angeles Innovation and Productivity Commission. She earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.
