About Mr. J. Mitchell Gibbs

Upon graduating from law school in 2004, J. Mitchell Gibbs returned to Athens to practice law focusing on both residential and commercial real estate transactions as well as general business litigation.

While in Athens, Gibbs became very active in the business community and was nominated by other professionals into the Athens Leadership Society to represent the legal sector of the Athens Area.

Following the birth of their first child, Gibbs and his wife moved to Cordele in 2008 in order to be closer to his wife's family. Gibbs continues to practice law in real estate transactions and business litigation in addition to expanding his practice into other areas of civil litigation.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
