Brad Weiss is a partner with Benson, Mucci & Weiss after joining the firm in 2004. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Brad obtained a bachelor's degree in business from Michigan State University in 1997, and his Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University in 2001. As a clerk at a small Detroit area law firm practicing primarily in construction law, his knowledge in this niche area began growing prior to his ability to practice. He is licensed to practice law in Michigan since 2001, and in Florida since 2002. After spending 2 and 1/2 years practicing in Detroit, Brad permanently moved to South Florida in 2004, joining Mark Mucci and Bill Benson in the established and well recognized law firm of Benson, Mucci & Associates. Brad became a partner of the firm in 2006, which changed its name to Benson, Mucci & Weiss, in September 2009.
Brad continues to practice in the areas of construction law and commercial litigation, as well as real estate law and corporate/business matters. In 2009, Brad Weiss became board-certified by the Florida Bar in the area of construction law, a distinction shared by a small percentage of attorneys licensed in Florida and practicing in the same area of law. According to the Florida Bar, board certification is the highest level of recognition of the competency and experience of attorneys in a particular area of law approved for certification, and only board-certified lawyers may identify themselves as Florida Bar Board Certified, experts or specialists.
