Eli Albrecht is a partner and the head of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice.
He represents private equity groups, family offices, independent sponsors, and searchers through the full deal lifecycle — from LOI and tax structuring to diligence, definitive agreements, and closing.
Eli’s approach is simple: protect the downside, move the deal forward, and avoid over-lawyering that slows momentum.
A hallmark of his practice is fixed-fee, close-aligned engagement: most M&A matters are handled for a quoted fee with the majority contingent on a successful closing, including “broken-deal forgiveness” if a transaction doesn’t consummate. Clients get cost certainty while keeping incentives squarely on execution.
Before founding Albrecht Law’s boutique platform, Eli practiced at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and DLA Piper, bringing big-firm sophistication to all deal sizes.
Earlier in his career, he served in the IDF special forces — experience that informs his calm under pressure and bias for action.
Eli contributes regularly to the M&A community. He’s been featured in Bloomberg Law discussing sustainable careers in high-intensity practices and writes the weekly “M&A Mondays” newsletter sharing practical lessons for buyers and sellers.
Eli earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.S. in business (with high honors) from Johns Hopkins University; at Georgetown he served on The Tax Lawyer, taught in entrepreneurship and corporate law courses, and led the Military Law Society.
