A lifelong Tennessee resident, Donna Simpson has dedicated over forty years to providing legal services in estate planning and social security law for the Upper Cumberland region. Her career has centered on advocating for the people of the Upper Cumberland area, ensuring families have the protection they need for a secure future. Raised in Sparta, Tennessee, Donna grew up in a family rooted in community and integrity—values imparted by her parents, who operated a livestock market for local farmers. Her experiences in the family business gave her an early understanding of rural life and the hardworking spirit of the region’s residents.
Donna began her career at Rural Legal Services of Tennessee, now Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, where she gained firsthand experience advocating for low-income clients. Her years of practice included collaboration with esteemed attorneys who helped shape her skills. Today, her family remains central to her life and work; her daughters, Carrie and Erica, assist in her law office, and her son, Ethan, provides skillful knowledge on appraisals. Donna continues to give back to her community through church, arts, and environmental initiatives, grateful for the beauty and connection the Upper Cumberland offers.
