I felt like he was thorough and listened and gave me an accurate assessment of what to expect. His assistant (Shannon) was also always available and was knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone.
He made me feel at ease when talking about this area. He was very helpful and very informative about the laws and how I stood. He walked me through what was going to be done, what I needed to have and where to go to court and what to do there. He was very friendly but very professional.
The lawyer I used was and excellent lawyer and was very understanding
This was a mortgage closing but he went further with questions about other areas of law like wills and powers of attorney.
Initially Mr. Hayes presents as a very knowledgeable attorney apparently trustworthy. When we met he quoted me what I thought was a reasonable price. What I did not realize at the time was that he would somehow (possibly thru manipulation of his "old boy" court ties ) garner more than 3 times his original fee, all at my expense. In my opinion, if you are considering this attorney for representation, do yourself a favor. Run, do not walk, to the nearest exit and instead find yourself an attorney who practices the law, not larceny.
If you have a family member who has substantial long-term care insurance and the caretaker family member is not the power of attorney, but wants to steal the power of attorney to obtain the long-term care funds for personal gain Brian Hayes is the attorney for you. He has jeopardized the safety of an elderly person to facilitate a sudden power of attorney change - which is elder abuse - to facilitate a caretaker to steal the long-term care funds. All one needs to do is dupe the doctor over at Atrium Health to write a conflicting Medical letter. Mr Hayes will be happy to pretend he is acting in the best interest of the elderly person with dementia, but he is really facilitating the caretaking family member in stealing the long-term care funds by facilitating a sudden power of attorney change for personal gain at the expense of the elderly person. Brian Hayes is not being paid by the elderly person but by the caretaker attempting to steal the power of attorney.
PLEASE READ this review before meeting with this firm so that what happened to me do not happen to you! They are notorious for charging EXCESSIVE FEES and being dishonest! And boy can they put on a good performance at the INITIAL CONSULTATION! If they think they can make quick money off of you, they will hype you up during the initial consultation but I’m here to tell you that once you pay that retainer fee, their true colors will show!
