The law states a judge must be partial and non biased but this judge is neither. He had the audacity to comment calling women names on court decisions as his opinion which has no place being done in his position. In regards to best interest of children he let's violent men have custody of children who have criminal charges of assult and battery, dcyf cases, and leaves them to continue to ruin lives of women and children. This is not the way the system is suposr to be nor should be. NH needs to open their eyes and change. This continued behavior destroys our future generations of children by leaving them in harms way and they grow up thinking abuse is OK.

Incompetent judge. Doesn't take inconsideration the facts of the case. Makes up lies on his decision, even if the trial didn't present them. Requested a motion to reconsider and I got denied with no reason or ruling. I had to call the court house to find out.
This review is to express serious concerns about the conduct and decisions of Judge Derby in Merrimack County. In my experience, his rulings have shown a concerning pattern of bias particularly favoring mothers who bring unsupported allegations to court, without requiring substantial evidence. Rather than ensuring a fair and balanced process for both parties, Judge Derby appears to make decisions that financially burden the primary earning parent often the father while awarding support to individuals who are fully capable of working and contributing to the upbringing of their children. This practice not only punishes the more financially responsible parent but can also destabilize the child’s living situation by reducing their primary source of financial security. What is especially troubling is how these outcomes are justified in the name of "the best interest of the children," while in reality, they often do more harm than good by weakening the foundation of financial stability.
This Judge is completely neglectful and pointless. Supports woman that don't want to work and just want to live of their ex husbands. Doesn't put the best interest of the child and ruled over many professionals just to protect the woman's income.
This man is an incompetent, disorganized, unprofessional oaf who has zero business before or behind the podium.
