Mitchell VanLandingham is senior counsel at WSHB's Northern California office. He specializes in construction matters, catastrophic injury and accident litigation, and professional liability defense.
Mitchell's diverse legal background allows him to maintain a comprehensive perspective on his cases, which include motor vehicle torts, labor issues and employment discrimination, and issues affecting public entities.
Born and raised in California's San Joaquin Valley, Mitchell earned a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of California, Davis, and then his J.D. at the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (then UC Hastings). He was active in moot court during law school and served as a senior editor for Hastings Law Journal. Additionally, he was an extern for the Hon. James M. Humes of the California Court of Appeal, First Appellate District.
Mitchell enjoys cooking, watching movies, attending theatrical performances, and supporting the Golden State Warriors. He also teaches legal research and writing to first-year J.D. candidates at UC Law SF.
