Todd has been practicing law for over 25 years. He has successfully litigated personal injury, insurance, business, health, life, disability and ERISA cases before state and federal courts in Ohio, Michigan, North Carolina, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Texas, Illinois, Missouri, California, Colorado, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Florida. He has substantial experience at the trial and appellate level, and his reported cases include: Brown v. Seitz Foods, Inc. Disability Benefit Plan, 140 F.3d 1198 (8th Cir. 1998); Sprenkle v. Hartford Life Insurance Company, 84 F.Supp.2d 751 (N.D.W.Va. 2000); Bond v. Cerner Corporation, 309 F. 3d 1064 (8th Cir. 2002); Matos v. Lorillard Tobacco Company, 391 F.Supp.2d 392 (M.D.N.C. 2005); Hansford v. Public Employees Retirement System, 868 N.E.2d 708 (2007); Empire Fire & Marine Insurance Company v. Kiefer, 483 F.Supp.2d 391 (N.D.Ohio 2007); Kufner v. Jefferson Pilot Financial Insurance Company, 595 F.Supp.2d 785 (W.D.Mi. 2009); and Rice v. Jefferson Pilot, 578 F.3d 450 (6th Cir. 2009). As Notes Editor of the Capital University Law Review, he wrote an article that was later republished by Open Court Publishing in a mass-selling book featuring William F. Buckley, Milton Friedman and William Bennett.Todd has served as faculty member for several seminars in the areas of ERISA and insurance law. He was the author and lead presenter of a program entitled Insurance Coverage in Ohio. He is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts of Ohio, all federal courts in Michigan, all federal courts in Indiana, all state courts of North Carolina, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Western District of Wisconsin, the Northern District of Texas, the Western District of Tennessee and the District of Colorado. He is a member of the Columbus Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and Mensa.
