Richard J. Silk, Jr. is a principal of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. He concentrates his practice in the areas of construction law, professional liability, transportation law, railroad law, product liability, premises liability, and the food and beverage industry.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Silk served as Assistant Attorney General for the Ohio Attorney General’s Court of Claims Defense Section, Construction Litigation Group. Matters involved complex and construction litigation, including jury and bench trials, managing extensive hard copy and electronic discovery, mediations and negotiations, and appellate briefing and oral arguments. Additionally, he counseled state entities and public universities concerning construction, transactional, risk management, employment, insurance, and surety-related issues. Mr. Silk was also in private practice, focusing on construction, labor and employment, regulatory, political subdivision, environmental, insurance coverage, and bad faith litigation.
