Dale Cook is a true specialist, as his practice focuses intensely on two distinct services: appeals and insurance coverage. Both play into his strengths of extensive legal research and skilled brief writing.
On appeals, he has a stellar track record and impeccable credentials. Dale is one of only 28 attorneys in Ohio certified by the Ohio State Bar Association in Appellate Law. He has been the primary brief writer in over 105 appeals, arguing many in both state and federal courts. He’s briefed and argued three cases before the Ohio Supreme Court, and been on brief on one case in the United States Supreme Court. He has also handled administrative appeals from a variety of state agencies. In addition, Dale has a strong civil litigation background, with an emphasis on defense of personal injury cases. This trial experience gives him a unique perspective in handling and successfully prosecuting appeals.
His background is equally impressive in the insurance law area. Dale was instrumental in setting up the Ohio State Bar Associate Board for specialization in insurance law, of which he is a currently a member. His work on insurance coverage issues involves litigation and the analysis and preparation of opinions.
