Brian A. Basil is a partner and head of MMM+B's business practice group and is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Florida. Previously, Mr. Basil practiced at Jones Day in Columbus.
Mr. Basil is experienced in handling the full range of business and real estate transactions, including loan workouts, secured lending, business mergers, acquisitions, sales, joint ventures, reorganizations, securities offerings, real estate acquisitions, sales, and financing transactions, and intellectual property, employment agreements, franchising and licensing activities.
Mr. Basil's clients range from new businesses to public companies with annual revenues of hundreds of millions of dollars and he represents clients in a range of industry groups including, banking, real estate, professional services, software, lobbyists, pharmaceuticals, human resources, investment banking, education, retail, petroleum, import/export, government agencies, and nonprofits.
In 2008, Mr. Basil received the Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service By An Individual from The Columbus Bar Foundation and Association.
Mr. Basil was also selected as an "Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Star" by Law and Politics Magazine in 2005, 2006, and 2007, and was selected to the 2010 Super Lawyers Top 50 Columbus list.
