Mitchell, McNutt & Sams, P.A. was founded in Tupelo in 1904 by Guy Mitchell, Sr. In 1990, the firm combined with Threadgill, Smith, Sanders & Jolly of Columbus (founded in 1949) and Wendell Trapp of Corinth to create one of Mississippi's largest law firms. To meet the needs of many clients the firm has opened offices in Oxford, Mississippi and Memphis, Tennessee. The firm offers a broad range of legal services while serving the entire state of Mississippi with four fully staffed offices and Western Tennessee with the Memphis Office. The firm requires professional development for all members of the firm and provides professional and civic leadership throughout Mississippi.
