About Jonathan Harvey

Mr. Harvey served as an Assistant Solicitor in the Columbia/Richland County office of the Fifth Judicial Circuit Solicitor and as an Assistant Attorney General in the S.C. Attorney General's Office. As a prosecutor, he prosecuted cases in all criminal trial court during his tenure as a prosecutor. He has been in private practice in Columbia, S.C. since 1986. His general practice has a strong emphasis on criminal matters. Since ne has been in private practice, he has appeared in every type of criminal trial court in S.C. He has represented clients in Family Court, Magistrate Court, Circuit/General Sessions Court, and U.S. District Court. He was a participant in the longest criminal trial in the U.S. District Court of S.C. Mr. Harvey is dedicated to providing zealous representation of his clients to ensure each receives the best possible representation and their constitutional rights are adequately protected. As his private practice continues into its third decade, Mr. Harvey continues to be an advocate for his clients.

Hired Law Firm

I went to Mr Harvey for help with a drug case involving several serious charges. There are a handful of attorneys in town that are the cream of the crop or 'top guys' in this area, and I chose Mr Harvey because he had previously gotten excellent results for a friend for a similar, slightly less complex case. He was not the first lawyer I called but he was the last because something in his voice and demeanor over the phone set me at ease and I trusted my gut instincts and met with him and retained his services in my defense. Probably the best decision I have made in a long time... Mr Harvey guided me through the stressful process with genuine concern and I felt like I had someone who got things done in my corner, that is what you need in my situation. In the end he got me such good results that I almost can't believe it... Myself and my family will forever be in his debt and I will be a walking, talking billboard for his law firm for as long as he practices law... If you need a lawyer to help you and you are in a jam, Jonothan Harvey is your guy.
