She is dedicated to representing and helping families resolve domestic relations issues with sensitivity and resolve.Kennedy earned her Juris Doctor with a concentration in International Legal Studies from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Philosophy from Morehead State University. She has been recognized for public service and pro bono contributions and continues to engage in community-focused legal work aimed at protecting vulnerable clients.Kennedy has built a strong career centered on family law and survivor-focused advocacy. Before joining the Columbia, MO divorce and family lawyers at Stange Law Firm, she served as a General Practice Staff Attorney and then Family Law Staff Attorney (VOCA) at Mid-Missouri Legal Services, where she provided full legal representation to survivors of domestic and sexual violence in cases involving orders of protection, custody, paternity, divorce, and guardianship. In prior roles with Mid-Missouri Legal Services, she also handled housing, consumer law, public benefits, and record-expungement matters, demonstrating a wide-ranging commitment to access to justice. Kennedy’s experience also includes public defense and juvenile advocacy work during law school and a role with the ACLU, where she assisted with legal research and worked on litigation-support tasks. She has participated in court externships and international tribunal work, bringing strong research, motion practice, and client advocacy skills to every matter she handles.
