Sarah Zane is an associate attorney practicing in all areas of family law, including complex divorces, high-conflict child custody matters, modifications, grandparent rights, and child support. Before entering private practice, Sarah served as a magistrate in the 16th Judicial District, where she presided over a wide range of family law cases, including divorces, custody disputes, child support, and property division. Known for her creative problem-solving in complex family disputes, Sarah adopts a client-focused approach in every case. In 2021, she received the Colorado Judicial Institute’s Judicial Excellence Award for Magistrates, recognizing her courage in handling difficult cases and her dedication to the community. Sarah’s legal career began with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office, where she honed her trial skills over eight years. She also worked with Colorado Legal Services, representing individuals in diverse legal matters. These experiences have provided her with a broad understanding of the law that she applies to her work today.
Sarah earned her Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Michigan and holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Family Studies and Public Communication from Central Michigan University. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys boating, grilling, and raising her children in Colorado Springs.
