Went through a nasty divorce and he was my lawyer. He did not do several things that I found out later were normally done for a divorce, one being an appraisal on our property. His assistant Anne, was very rude and didn't do her job and filled out QDRO paperwork properly. After I was finally able to get someone to answer the phone to fire them I did. I was able to get the court ordered retirement on my own 2 and a half years after my divorce was finalized.
The WORST lawyer in south east Kansas honestly. I hired him on for a custody case for $1500 and I did not get to speak to him whatsoever. Even though he was supposed to represent me. They did not call me to keep me update me on anything. And eventually, ignored my calls. I would call at all times if the day because I had new information and I didn’t know if he had it. Papers I’d been served, evidence, anything I had I tried to give him and I could not even get through. I even tried emailing. And I was met with irritation, or nothing at all. A year wasted like this. Oh and he’s biased! Allegations lobbed against us he believed. Which is when it became difficult to reach him. A YEAR trying to contact him. He could’ve signed off the case instead. If you want a REAL lawyer, Robert Myers in Columbus Kansas is the best. He communicates and doesn’t treat his clients like crap.
