I would have given a 5 rating all around if I would have received a call a day before or the day of reminding me of court.
Run away from a lawyer that tell you, “an officer does not need a evidence for you to be guilty but their word”. Thats exactly what he told me when i called for a consultation, dont waste yall time and money. He obviously wont defend you. He just wants your money without doing any work.
This lawyer took my $2k and I never heard from him again. Didn't return my calls or emails. In court today, I explained myself to the Watchung Judge Hon. Brian Levine and he concurred on my complaint of lawyer abandonment and allowed me to fire Baptiste...What he did to me he has done to others. He has been disciplined by New Jersey for abandonment in the past...The only problem is that this creep still has my money and I can't afford another attorney, but, Hon. Levine is allowing me to fill out an application for a public defender...Stay away from this dude, he's Lucifer
Baptiste spoke well prior to being hired after the $1700 payment was submitted he was basically unreachable. He reached out to us by mailing us his information from the court as other lawyers. He did not prep well for our case, did not contact the us/client, he did not submit evidence before case, he submitted evidence the same day of trial and did not know how to work his phone to submit the evidence. He worked another case during our case causing the judge yell at him who gave him 20 seconds to get back to our case. Family members did more for us/the client. Baptise did not prep witness or client, he hesitated during his questioning to the defendant, his performance was horrible and basically did not give a crap after our money was given to him. If you want to blow your money feel free to hire josue jean Baptiste. I'm questioning whether his license law is even real.
