My case did not go to court for one year. When we finally did go to court, Mr. Hoffer was not prepared for my case. In addition, it took him 5 years to finalize all of my QDRO paperwork. He made several mistakes on the paperwork that had to be corrected.
He accepted $1000 payment toward the $2500 retainer and was provided with more than enough information & proof for the case. When my fiance contacted him to inform him of our financial hardship, he said he is not a bank and not to bother coming in to pay unless we have the balance due. When we needed him to do anything he refused until retainer balance was paid, after accepting the $1000 deposit. He then refused to work with us and dropped us as clients without refunding any of the $1000 paid.
