About Michael J. Goldberg, Esq.

Michael J. Goldberg has concentrated his law practice exclusively in criminal defense since the beginning of his legal career. After earning his law degree from Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1988, he began practicing that year and has defended persons accused of criminal violations ever since.

Michael is admitted to practice in all state courts of Ohio, as well as U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Ohio Academy of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and he has been named to the National Trial Lawyers’ Top 100 in Ohio.

Hired Attorney

I highly recommend attorney Mike Goldberg. He handled a very serious criminal case for a family member and truly went above and beyond. Mike literally dropped everything to help, walked us through every step of the process, and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to negotiate the best possible outcome in court. His professionalism stood out from day one. You can tell he has an excellent rapport with the Judges and court staff, and that respect translates into how smoothly he navigates the courtroom. Mike was always fully prepared, knew the evidence inside and out, and made sure we understood exactly what was happening at every stage. He also took the time to guide me through the bond process, answering every question and easing so much stress during an overwhelming situation. Mike was prompt at every court appearance and consistently returned my calls and emails quickly, sometimes even on weekends. I Highly recommend Mike and would trust him again without hesitation.

Hired Attorney

My ex had hired a lawyer who seemed like the ultimate bad guy – the kind of attorney most folks wouldn't even want to go up against. But Michael? He was different. He took on my case when no one else would touch it, and he did it with this air of confidence that was just so reassuring. First, he sorted out my messy divorce situation in record time, which was a huge relief. Then, when it came to the criminal case, he nailed it with the best possible outcome. As I went through the process, I found out that Michael is super respected among his fellow legal eagles and the Judges. I think he used to be a prosecutor and worked closely with a bunch of Judges. In that messed-up game I got caught up in, Michael was the undisputed champ. He really knows his stuff, and that's what counts. I owe him big time for being my guiding light during those tough times.
