Today, Scott's four children, all born at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida -- the same hospital where his mother was born and his grandmother worked as a registered nurse for 45 years -- are the 10th generation of his family to call themselves Floridians.

Socially, he is a member of Alliance Française de Sarasota, American Mensa, Tampa Bay Mensa, the YMCA of the Suncoast and several bicycle clubs across the State of Florida. An avid cyclist on road, gravel and mountain, Scott rides regularly to stay fit and keep in touch with the outdoors. Other cyclists are welcome to follow him on Strava. In addition to cycling, he enjoys downhill skiing, playing and following soccer, and travel. He is also a foodie and wine enthusiast.
