Maria moved to Pinellas County, Florida in 1991 and developed a passion for law at an early age, interning as a teenager at the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office and the Law Firm of Yanchuck, Berman, and Kasaris. She earned both her undergraduate degree in political science and her law degree from Stetson University, gaining hands-on experience through internships and leadership roles in the mock senate.
