Hired Attorney LaTonia Denise Wright Esq.

I had hired Ms, Wright to represent me to defend my nursing license. I feel as if I had very poor representation. She comes across ( and is ) very kind, but since I am not familiar with the process of pre-settlement hearings and hearings at the state board of nursing, I did not know, what I did not know until it was too late. She was not supportive of me during the pre-settlement hearing. I did not receive preparation for the questions that would be asked. Therefore I made the assumption that she would do the talking. But she literally said nothing except her recommendation at the beginning. I answered their questions, but wish I had preparation to answer them better and to know that i could have added my side of the story. Instead, currently the state board of nursing only has the complainants side of the story. Luckily the apposing attorney supported me a little, but it was sad that she didn't.

I always prepare my clients for settlement conferences. The outcome of settlement conferences depend on the factual circumstances of the case and the evidence the Board has to support the allegations especially in cases involving mental impairment.
