Ziyad counsels domestic and international companies, their shareholders and officers in a variety of matters relating to their formation, business structure, insurance needs and maintenance with a special emphasis on the internet industry. He also represents domestic and international insurers and reinsurers.
Ziyad received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California, in 1987. He received his degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1990.
Ziyad is admitted to practice in the States of Illinois and California and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois and for the Central District of California. While attending law school, he authored The Permissibility of Routine AIDS Testing in the Health Care Context, Notre Dame Journal of Law, Ethics & Public Policy, published in September of 1990. Later, he co-authored an article titled U.S. Legal Review, published in Reinsurance (November, 1996 and November, 1997 issues). He also co-authored the Update of the Law of Reinsurance Claims (Andrews Publication, 1997). He is a member of the American, Chicago and San Luis Obispo Bar Associations, the Arab-American Business and Professional Association and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab-American Bar Association. Ziyad is fluent in Arabic.
