Stephen Hoffman earned his law degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis in 1990 and his undergraduate degree from Indiana University. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, and Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and is endorsed by the Better Business Bureau. Throughout his over 34-year career, Stephen has managed a wide range of legal disputes, including medical malpractice, wrongful death, slip and fall injuries, motor vehicle accidents, defective product claims, and workplace injuries. He has tried numerous cases in court and before arbitration panels, appearing in federal and county courts, as well as workers’ compensation hearings across Illinois. Stephen has served as a Chair-qualified Arbitrator for the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration System for over 30 years. He was Vice Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Solo and Small Practitioner Committee in 2009-10 and Co-Chair from 2010 to 2021, with leadership roles in the Tort Litigation Committee.
Committed to quality legal representation and mentoring new lawyers, Stephen has spoken at Loyola University School of Law and DePaul University College of Law. He resides in Chicago’s Ravenswood Manor neighborhood with his wife, dog, and cat.
