The firm concentrates its practice in the areas of real estate taxation, eminent domain and governmental matters. We represent clients with all types of commercial, industrial and residential properties, concentrating in obtaining equitable assessments or, in eminent domain proceedings, fair compensation on their behalf. We also assist them in obtaining "assessment incentives" and "tax abatements" designed to encourage industrial, commercial, and multi-residential development. Our clients include developers, real estate investment trusts, banks, Fortune 500 companies and not-for-profit organizations, as well as individual property owners and small businesses. The firm represents clients with properties in the metropolitan area as well as entrepreneurs throughout Illinois. I haven’t hired them yet, but they were super helpful on a phone call and really explained what was going on with my property/tax situation. They put my mind at ease and gave me a clear picture of my options. Glenn Guttman is an amazing attorney, in every aspect. Smart, thorough, knowledgeable, kind, caring…the positive adjectives could go on and on, and they all are true. Glenn fought so hard to get our property taxes lowered, and succeeded. He literally went to court to argue our case in person, and after winning, continued to argue two more past years and won those as well. Three years of refunds. Wow! Glenn works so diligently and has excellent attention to detail--he even e-mailed at 11:00pm one night with new information. Wow! And while the law is complicated, Glenn explains everything in ABC format so we can understand the ins and outs of all that he does. Wow! To close, he cares so much about his clients…and is so kind…Glenn is exactly what one would want in an attorney. Wow again! This review sounds surreal, we know, but it’s all true. And truly there are not enough words in Webster’s dictionary to describe how grateful we are to Glenn for all his care, hard work and dedication.
