Peter Berg, founding partner of Berg & Berg, has over 30 years of experience in personal injury law. A skilled trial lawyer, litigator, and negotiator, Peter has handled more than 100 trials and approximately 1,000 arbitrations, securing millions of dollars annually in settlements, awards, and verdicts throughout the Chicago area.
Peter began his career as an insurance defense attorney, representing individuals and businesses accused of causing injury. During this time, he achieved over 30 not guilty verdicts, gaining valuable insight into defense strategies. In 1997, Peter shifted his focus to representing plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death cases. His ability to analyze cases from both the defense and plaintiff’s perspectives has contributed to his success in securing significant financial compensation for his clients.
Peter earned his law degree from DePaul University College of Law, where he graduated at the top of his class. He holds an undergraduate degree in English and Spanish literature from Northwestern University and studied at the University of Sevilla in Spain. Fluent in Spanish, Peter enjoys spending time with his wife, Martha, and their four children. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, herpetology, camping, hiking, fishing, and storytelling.
