Michael Gruszeczki, a lifelong resident of Chicago’s Northwest Side, earned his BBA in Finance from Loyola University Chicago before graduating at the top of his class from DePaul University College of Law in 2007. While at DePaul, he made the Dean’s List and clerked for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office as well as two civil litigation firms. Upon passing the bar, Mike joined the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office as an Assistant State’s Attorney, where he prosecuted thousands of felony and misdemeanor matters—from drug and gun charges to violent and white-collar crimes—and handled hundreds of child-support and parentage hearings. He later co-founded Gruszeczki & Smith Law, LLP, applying his extensive courtroom experience to criminal defense, DUI and traffic law, and driver’s-license reinstatements. Mike’s litigation skills also extend to personal injury, family law, and real-estate closings, where he helps clients recover damages, resolve custody disputes, and navigate the purchase or sale of their homes. His clients rely on his proven trial advocacy and unwavering dedication to achieve the best possible results.
