Bait-and-Switch, Unjustified Fees – Beware I hired Brad Giglio’s firm for my father’s immigration case. Given time sensitivity of my issue I asked specifically and he assured me of timely service, but after three weeks of repeated follow-up and zero progress, I terminated their services. My only interaction besides followup calls was a basic questionnaire that seems to be a copy/paste to I-130 form. There was filings or legal work. Despite this, they deducted $1,366 (39%) from my $3,500 retainer before refunding me. Sylvia, his secretary, even admitted saying "we will get right on it now" before I pulled the plug. By their rates: $400/hr (attorney) → 3.41 hours with no calls or filings? $200/hr (paralegal) → 6.83 hours for a simple questionnaire? Or was I billed for issuing the refund check? I respect legal professionals, but this was unethical. If they refund the unjustified amount, I’ll update my review. Until then, I strongly advise caution before hiring this firm.
