Melvin Leon Sims III is a lawyer practicing landlord & tenant, real estate. Melvin received a B.A. degree from Amherst College in 1997, and has been licensed for 21 years. Melvin practices at Tenants Rights Group, LLC in Chicago, IL.
I was referred to Melvin by a truly great friend. Within hours of hearing only a paragraph about our situation, Melvin called me, already having done his research on our property, and offering to take my case. There is no question Melvin knows the law inside and out. He left me confident through the entire process; and truly relieved of the battle I was fighting from the second he first called. Melvin works quickly, is very transparent about he expects from us, and what we should expect, and makes it feel as if you are the most important client in the world given his attention to detail, and quick responses. He's very personable, and easy to talk to, without feeling any of the intimidation or interrogation a lawsuit situation may bring (especially since I just finished watching Suits, and wasn't jumping up and and down about escalating my case to the law). It is in your absolute best interest to contact Melvin.
If you need a good attorney look no further !! He is great and got me what I deserved and then some. He will get right down to the point and does not hesitate when it comes down to his clients. This guy really knows his stuff!!
I've had the pleasure of Mr. Sims assisting me with 2 different cases over the last 5 years. He took the time to make sure I understood what was going on and made me feel at ease when going before the judge with my case. I will definiteky recommend him to others.
was some of the best help i have gotten in years. I just wish my landlord actually cooperated Melvin was a saint. very patient and understanding
Completely helped me in dealing with an abusive landlord. Kept me informed along the way, and his final email to them was EPIC. :-) I gave his information to two other tenants on my way out in case they try to pull the same thing with them.
Great lawyer! If your in a bad situation this is the guy to call! Super humble and understanding man 5 stars easy!
Attorney Sims simply listened to my Landlord situation, got clarifications on a couple of issues, then quickly went to work. Attorney Sims helped avoid in court litigation, winning the case. I highly recommend his services.
Attorney Sims was able to help me get out of my lease and move forward with my life after dealing with an unresponsive property management company.
Wow is all I can say honestly. Melvin, was a god send. He was so compassionate and very organized with getting things done in a timely manner. At the end of the day, he won our case and now we have that off our record. I highly recommend him to anyone going through we we just endured. Thanks again and good bless!!!!!!!!
I’m so glad that I hired Attorney Sims! I thought that I was trapped in a long term lease when I was a victim of domestic violence. He helped me quickly and easily legally terminate my lease allowing me to transition to safe housing and close that chapter of my life. My landlord was unwilling to let me out of my lease without a large financial burden despite knowing I was a victim of domestic violence. Within one day of talking to my landlord, Attorney Sims had me out of my lease. I’m so very thankful for his help!! Cannot recommend him enough.
