Marisa A. Gelabert is an associate attorney at Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C., where she focuses her practice on personal injury, medical negligence, and wrongful death litigation. She joined the firm as a law clerk in 2022 and was elevated to associate in 2024.
As a law clerk, Ms. Gelabert contributed to several high-profile matters, including a birth injury trial that secured a $75.9 million verdict and litigation involving hazing allegations at Northwestern University. Her early courtroom exposure and hands-on experience with complex cases laid a strong foundation for her work as a trial attorney.
Ms. Gelabert earned her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she was a standout member of the Moot Court Honor Society. She received multiple accolades during her academic career, including Best Brief in the 2023 Civil Rights & Liberties Moot Court Competition and CALI Awards for top performance in Evidence, Trial Advocacy, and Pre-Trial Litigation. She also served as a LexisNexis student associate for two years.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from DePaul University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Ms. Gelabert is a passionate advocate for victims’ rights and is committed to helping those who have been harmed seek justice. She is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association.
Outside the office, she enjoys running and walking her dogs along the Chicago lakefront.
