James M. Teper is a partner in the Real Estate and Finance Practice Groups, as well as the Loan Restructuring, Foreclosure and Workout Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate and commercial lending. Mr. Teper has extensive experience in the structuring and documenting of commercial loan transactions and other credit accommodations. In addition, Mr. Teper has significant experience in handling all aspects of the acquisition, disposition, financing, management and construction of commercial real estate. Mr. Teper has also represented numerous landlords and tenants in the leasing of office, retail and industrial real estate.
Mr. Teper was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.B.A., Real Estate and Finance, 1984, and J.D., 1987). He is admitted to the Illinois and Wisconsin State Bars (1987) and the Bars of the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois and the Eastern District of Wisconsin (1987). He is a member of the American and Illinois State Bar Associations. Prior to joining PFS in 2001, Mr. Teper was a partner at Shefsky & Froelich Ltd. in Chicago, Illinois.
