Hired Attorney

Ms. Haughey did not prepare at all for the case (probation violation). She called no witnesses and was taken by surprise by the evidence in court. There was literally no defense despite numerous possibilities. She totally underestimated the sentence. In addition, she was informed about an error in a prior sentencing order and did nothing about it which impacted the sentencing. Her lack of preparation was inexcusable.

.She was in cahoots with Bonnie Lepold (GAL) as they were partners prior to my trial. She did not represent me and my foster child's best interest at all. It was very clear and very obvious in the trial that she and Bonnie Lepold had a pre-planned arrangement. She did not do one thing to earn the money that I paid her. She sucks as an Attorney!!!!

Hired Attorney

Working with this Guardian Ad Litem has been an utter nightmare. Today, She made the most gut wrenching voucher in the Charlottesville Circuit Court, for my children's mother to take my children 7 hours away despite years of expressing concerns, and STACKS of clear evidence she has been alienating me and my family. She heard the fact my dying mother has also been alienated, and will likely DIE before seeing her grandchildren again. This all was thoroughly ignored. Instead she has expressed a clear prejudice against my past as a recovering addict and has focused on pure speculation. She has contributed to pain on my children likely to last the remainder of their lives. They did not take one look at the evidence I have (which is a mountain high by now) a single time. My youngest daughter could have died, a fact their mother HID from me, yet they scoffed at my concerns. Saying I am disappointed in the local legal system here in Charlottesville, and Sheila Haughey, is an understatement.
