Katherine Dandy has been defending clients in litigation involving medical malpractice, general liability matters, and business disputes for nearly three decades. She started her career as a public defender in New York City, learning valuable trial and negotiation skills. After five years in the trenches, she shifted to civil litigation. Since then, she has developed a diverse litigation practice, representing physicians and other health care providers in medical malpractice actions and business entities in a wide variety of commercial disputes.
An accomplished writer, Kathy has prevailed on numerous summary judgment motions and appeals before state and federal courts. Appellate advocacy requires a unique skill set, one that emphasizes the ability to analyze and understand subtle legal distinctions, conduct careful and focused research, and provide persuasive written and oral presentations to a sophisticated appellate court.
Katherine earned her Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in New York City, and she also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Pennsylvania.
Outside of the office, Kathy enjoys baking bread, cooking, reading, and spending time with her husband, their two children, and their corgi, Luna.
