About John Fulton Gianola

John Gianola’s professional journey began at West Virginia University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Following his undergraduate studies, he moved to Washington, D.C., to attend the George Washington University Law School. Upon receiving his Juris Doctor, he launched his legal career in the nation’s capital as a patent litigator, where he sharpened his technical and legal expertise in a highly complex and demanding field. Driven by a desire to serve his home state, he eventually returned to Charleston, West Virginia, to take on a significant role as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, representing the government with dedication and integrity.

Since returning to West Virginia, John has become a versatile and seasoned litigator with experience at every level of the state's legal system, from state magistrate court to the West Virginia Supreme Court. He has also successfully argued cases before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, demonstrating his ability to handle high-stakes advocacy. After spending time at a local firm supporting small and medium businesses throughout the state, John joined the Morgan & Morgan office in Charleston. He now utilizes his extensive litigation background and technical knowledge to fight for his clients, providing them with strategic and compassionate representation in their time of need.
