She also completed a summer judicial clerkship in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Chicago, Illinois, for Judge Randye Kogan. Outside of the legal field, Emily is an accomplished writer. Her books have been chosen as a Washington Post Best Book, an Apple Best Book of the Month, a POPSUGAR Best New Historical Fiction, and received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness.
