Hired Attorney Stephen F. DeAntonio

I am 87 years old and believe these actions may involve misappropriation of funds, record tampering, and elder financial exploitation. In Russell v. Compass Furniture Group et al., Case No. 2009JG1002025 (Charleston County), a judgment was entered in my favor around December 2009, when I was 70 years old. Although Attorney Stephen DeAntonio did not represent me, it appears that he or his firm became involved in handling funds related to that judgment. I was never notified of any payment, provided an accounting, or given my share of the funds. In 2025, after discovering that I had been awarded a judgment in 2009, I sent a certified demand letter to Mr. DeAntonio requesting a full accounting pursuant to Rule 1.15(b) of the South Carolina Rules of Professional Conduct. Instead of contacting me, he retained outside counsel, and soon thereafter my case record—and others he handled—were removed or expunged from the Charleston County Clerk of Court’s system, despite my prior written warning.

Hired Attorney Stephen F. DeAntonio

I was referred to this law firm by another law firm ensuring me that they would be of great assistance and in fact they weren't.... The level of rudeness I received opon arrival was very unprofessional, distasteful and disrespectful.... I was rudely told " We don't do walk ins" I stated that I was referred to them... (Before being turned away from there office and the door closed in my face) They took my information in which they did nothing with to contact me or even consider hearing my claims... Months later I left a voicemail asking about the results of my claim... I received disturbing call rudely being told there not going to help me... Respectfully I ended the call without a goodbye...
