About James Bernice Moore III

James B. Moore III is a third-generation South Carolina trial lawyer and co-founder of Evans Moore, LLC. Since joining the South Carolina Bar in 2008, he has built a reputation for aggressive advocacy for people facing life-changing injuries. Over the course of his career, James has helped clients recover more than $200 million through verdicts and settlements in complex cases, including trucking and motor vehicle crashes, civil rights violations, medical and hospital negligence, nursing home abuse, sexual assault and misconduct, school and camp negligence, hazing, pharmaceutical errors, and premises liability. His work has been recognized by Super Lawyers for years—first as a Rising Star from 2016 to 2018, and then as a Super Lawyer from 2019 through 2026. James has also obtained some of the highest jury and non-jury verdicts in South Carolina and nationally, with several cases drawing major media coverage. Before co-founding Evans Moore, LLC, he clerked for Judge Benjamin H. Culbertson and practiced at Bell Legal Group and McLeod Legal Group. He is admitted in all South Carolina state and federal courts, participates in multiple bar associations, and remains deeply committed to community service, including the firm’s annual Thanksgiving turkey giveaway in the Lowcountry.
