Had the same issue as a previous reviewer. Attorney did not respond after first two sessions. I informed him I wanted my retainer back for several weeks. No reply to email, text or voice messages to his office. Finally had to contact the Bar association to get my retainer refunded. :-( Got a message via email from him saying my retainer check was taped to the outside of his office door. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

Hired Attorney

I went to Mr. DeTreville because he had good reviews. I told him I'd been ripped off by an online service and how I needed help to get a divorce. I expressed concerns about the process and the expense. He assured me he would have my best interest in mind and would keep costs down wherever possible and in a few weeks time this would be resolved. I tried contacting multiple times by email and phone with no response or "I will pass your message on to him." It has been 3 months. I want a refund.

All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
