Patrick Roberts was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, after his family immigrated from Jamaica. His early life in a tough neighborhood helped shape his drive for personal success and justice. He earned his undergraduate degree in Engineering from Johns Hopkins University around 1997. He later earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Duke University School of Law in 2000.
To strengthen his trial advocacy skills, Roberts trained at Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College and the National Criminal Defense College.
Patrick Roberts believes in a client-centered, strategic approach to criminal defense. With experience as both a prosecutor and defense attorney, he brings a deep understanding of the justice system to every case. He’s known for his courtroom presence, meticulous preparation, and strong advocacy.
Outside of law, Roberts is passionate about boxing, drawing inspiration from the discipline and strategy it requires. He is also involved in real estate and entrepreneurship. Through his firm, he funds the Patrick Roberts Public Service Scholarship, a $5,000 annual award supporting students pursuing criminal justice or public service careers.
