I've had Betsy Tinney for a few years now, dealing with a divorce and child support issues. She is very busy, and it can sometimes take a few weeks to schedule an appt with her, but I appreciate having her honesty with me, and she tells me like it is, whether I want to hear it or not. She takes her time in meeting with me, taking time to answer all my questions. I've had a few attorneys in the past, but none have been as good as Betsy is. She is more pricy than others, but is worth it.
They are great, sympathetic to their clients and willing to do whatever is needed to get the job done.
Negative stars if it were possible. Wow.. I’m surprised this firm is still practicing. Anne Martinkus is a sorry excuse for a guardian ad litem. I presented a comprehensive binder filled with evidence demonstrating that my children were being alienated from me by the other parent, yet she dismissed every single page. Upon our first meeting, she didn't even have the professionalism to introduce herself. It felt as though she had already taken a side simply because I am the father. Additionally, she advised against confiscating my children’s cell phone—which I own and pay for—despite its irresponsible use. Well done, Martinkus, well done. Guess what? My case was ruled in my favor with the other parent alienating my children from me with no help from Martinky.
Jim Martinkus took me as a client for my divorce. Told me a $3k retainer would cover my entire divorce as my spouse was unrepresented (pro se). All he had to do was file papers. My spouse signed the agreement. I gave them the notarized papers. Followed up via email - nothing. Followed up via phone - nothing. Child support paperwork was never filed, Divorce agreement was never filed. For months I tried to get in touch with them for a status. $3k was a lot of money for me to put down for a divorce. I contacted them so many times. I finally gave up. Finally I got in touch with them to ask for the rest of my retainer back - $500. He did next to nothing, other than meet with me and have his legal assistant draw up paperwork to be filed. It was never filed, no court date, nothing. With $500 left, I would expect the divorce to be almost completely handled. 2 years later I have saved up another $3k to hire another attorney to finally get divorced. DO NOT go to this firm!!
I hired Anne Martinkus to represent me in a divorce case. She did the same thing to me plus more. What she did needs to be told. I fired her. She needs to be investigated.
Anne is completely detached and she keeps procrastinating delaying updates and important information about the case. She never delivers what she promises and she charges you for repeating myself to reiterate on the details that she keeps messing. Total crook.
