Hired Attorney Shari Rhode

I called to inquire about a consultation, but the person who answered the phone couldn't even help with that. She took my information & "the receptionist" called about an hour later (even though I was told about 30 mins). The receptionist requires a pre-screening & doesn't have good people skills. She claims that standard protocol is to discuss your issue with her (which I found disconcerting), she takes it to Shari & then Shari decides if your issue is even worth a consultation. After wasting 15 minutes of my life talking to the receptionist & waiting nearly 18 hours, she calls to say that Shari won't even give a consultation. No condolences, no pointing me towards another firm, simply "Shari said she can't help with your issue". All I wanted was advice & I was willing to pay for a consultation. This was a total waste of my time & the only consolation is that I didn't waste any money.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

Lawyers who have received peer reviews after 2009 will display more detailed information, including practice areas, summary ratings, detailed numeric ratings and written feedback (if available). Details for individual reviews received before 2009 are not displayed.

Attorneys that receive reviews from their peers, but not a sufficient number to establish a Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating, will have those reviews display on our websites.
